When I start reading the book, my first impression was he was just bragging his life, his childhood in India, family details, cricket etc. But slowly from chapter to chapter he focused to describe more on the true nature of the world of Enterprises. How they loose focus on empathy and innovation become focus only on profitability. And then in the long run make people more humanoids. Struggle he made changing a culture of multi cultural company and how he try to find better ways to over come the resistance of its employee for the change, fascinating.
He uses more and more real-world incidents which keeps me interested on reading it more and more. But if you are not and IT guys or know nothing about Microsoft and Windows history, this might feels you bit awkward to read. Anyway its a good read for anyone who interest about technology and future of Microsoft. For me its clear that his strategy of innovation and partnering will make Microsoft will dominate the world. Not in a specific sector but in every thing we consume for next few decades.
I am not a book critic, this is just my thoughts on “Hit Refresh”, I request you to read this book as it has so many points to consume in the tech world today and tomorrow.
